What is the responsibility of a builder for a known and admitted structural defect?

We moved into our home just over a year ago. This is a new home and was built one year prior to our purchasing it. The right side of the house holds two bedrooms and a hallway. The hallway has a severe dip in the floor that leads to one bedroom. The bedroom also has a severe lump in the floor. These items have been on the repair list since before we went to close on the house. We were originally told that there was a problem with the A-frame, a problem that could and would be repaired. This has not happened. The repair contractors have come out several times and attempted to repair the problem by shaving down the wood under the carpet and nailing the wood down so that the lump would no longer be noticable. However, none of these measures have proven effective. The defects remain and are still on the punchlist to be repaired. If the defects cannot be fixed, what is our legal recourse?

I have to say, I nearly fell to the floor when on American Idol they annouced JLO was the worlds most beautiful women. I don’t say this to be mean at all, and I’m not trying to talk smack about her, this is honestly how I feel. When I see her, I swear I see a man in drag. She looks like a transexual, her face is so masculine. I don’t think she is beautiful at ALL!

Can this guy get in trouble with Delta society?

Ok I work at the mall in a little hickory farms kiosk and just this morning a guy with a yellow lab that had a service dog vest and as he walked by his dog (While walking) popped out a few turds. I yelled to the guy that his dog pooped on the floor and he needed to pick it up but he just walked away really fast like he didn’t hear me so I put on come plastic gloves and picked up the poop myself and cleaned the floor. I did tell the security guard and he told the guy to leave.
Should I tell the delta society?

I know the lady who runs the local chapter and he had a delta society vest on the dog

Double glazing Patio Door question advice required?

Good morning Not knowing anything about these things please offer advice I am after a patio door for my ground floor flat and have seen one which I think will fit the dimensions are

Patio Door Width 1800 mm depth height 2080 mm

Current Window width 1800 mm Height of space internal floor to ceiling is 2108 mm

I have rang a few local installers for a quote to fit this window and they said they generally dont fit as easily as a brand new one, the window im buying isnt that old and is in great condition. DO you think that these installers are just after supplying and fitting a new window to get more cash out of me or can there be some real issues with buying a second hand door and if so please advise

My puppy will not use his puppy pad no matter what i try, how do i get him to use it?

He is a 3 month old Chihuahua mixed with we think poodle named Booster. I try to put him on it if i see him going and if he messes on the floor i put the pad over it to show him that’s where he’s supposed to go.

Taking up vinyl flooring from hardwood floors?

I have taken up 1 layer of vinyl with underlament, a second layer of vinyl, and under that is felt paper (like you put on a roof)and it is stuck to the hardwood. Any idea’s on how to get the felt up? It’s been down about 30 years.

I have stripped my hall floor which is PARQUET, i wont to varnish it but unsure what the best way to apply the floor varnish is, should i use a brush, paint pad or roller. The varnish is ronseal matt diamond hard floor varnish, any ideas.

Pulling up parquet flooring to lay tile?

This is the most horrible job ever. Surely anyone who ever had to pull this junk up, would never, ever put it in a house again! Anyway, my question is.After you grt it up, the floor is torn to shreds from the parquet sticking to the plywood and taking layers of it up with it. What is the next step? Do you just lay the tile board right on top of this bumpy plywood, or do you need to pour leveler over the entire floor? Anyone that’s ever been here done that, please help!

Additional Details:
By torn to shreds, I mean there are two areas where the top layer is peeled away about an 1/8th of an inch deep – the areas are about 4 inches wide by 8 inches long. There are smaller areas of top layers peeling back all over. We’re still not finished removing it so I don’t know how the rest of ot will go.
